I read all of the reviews before I ordered it. My husband put it together in an hour. Is is flimsy. I would not pay $244 for it. We paid $125. The lights around the gazebo has a short in it. All of the other mechanical stuff works find. I had the original townhouse from the 1970s and feel it was a lot sturdier. I was glad the furniture came with it...but it is flimsy. I now feel that it was a huge waste of money. Nothing fits correctly, the house is way too fragile and the dining set is terrible. I tried unsuccessfully to steer my daughter towards the Melissa and Doug Victorian doll house (Melissa and Doug toys rock!) but in the end succumbed to her Barbie obsession. Of course, that's what all girls want to look like, isn't it! One word of advise I do have for potential town house owners is this; please buy the unfurnished version and furnish it yourself. Additionally, Barbie furniture isn't too difficult to make as I have recently discovered.
