And to be fair, this was one of her favorite toys that was played with frequently. The issue was durability. Barbie toys are often not the most durable, but some are worse than others and this unfortunately fell into that category. The ship opens up in the center, and within a short 4 month period of careful play, was not lining up correctly or shutting as it should. She really wanted this boat but I thought $70 was way too much for it so I waited for the price to go down and Amazon came through for me, I got it for $40 w/ free shipping. She has played with it every day since then and absolutely loves it. It stores nice and neatly on the shelf (with everything inside the ship!!) And is easy to open and set up for play. She loves the fact that she can either make a water slide or drop down the disco ball for dancing. I LOVE the frustration free packaging. I had the boat out and ready for play in no time. The hardest part was the precision sticker placing. But that went very smoothly. The boat makes 3 sounds - animal noises (dolphins and birds), a ship horn, and disco music. None are too loud or down right annoying. All in all I would recommend this to a friend! |
